Kevin m palmer, At My Feet (ART 2026)

I have been staring at my feet for most of the year (figuratively speaking). Photographically stalled and for many months not interested to even just pick up a camera. If I did take an image, to be truthful it was probably more about what I thought people wanted or so as to get an insta like etc. I even dragged my feet on a commissioned portfolio. What I had lost was the energy to create just for me. That pleasure of seeing light, of being present to capture simple things, even the imperfect, in a way that makes me see them, feel them, as art I can enjoy. These images are the product of finally again just having fun with a camera. It in manual mode, set to square format, with nothing but natural light and a slow walk in the rain. And if someone else likes one enough or to want it. I can only hope it is because they see more than a picture. And experience someone just enjoying seeing things enough to want to stay in that moment like I did here with these scenes at my feet.
